Osha gourmet is one restaurant located in Abu dhabi where you can have reflection of true Emirati cuisine. This cuisine is a mixture of seasonal vegetables and meat, chicken or fish and is served most often with boiled white rice. The spices are usually subtle but for sure it is full of flavours.

The location might be a task in finding but for sure it is with the help of GPS it is not a problem. The ambiance is very contemporary and full of colors. Some traditional paintings enhances the looks along with some separate family space available. Outdoor seating is also very traditional.

We were welcomed with CHAMI & DATES its yogurt based drink served along with dates. In starters i tried DYNAMITE SHRIMPS perfectly cooked shrimps coated with the Osha special sauce, very delicious. CHEESE SPRING ROLLS is thin cheese filled spring rolls tasted very delicious and perfect.

In mains i tried OSHA’S MIX GRILL with skewered chicken saffron tikka, with yogurt lamb tikka and yogurt chicken tikka, everything tasted fresh and good. For vegetarians FAREED is one dish i highly recommend, its mix of veggies with traditional bread cooked in broth, its a different dish.

Dessert is a part i always look forward to and we were served HAPPINESS HORMONES warm brownie, topped with kinder bars and ice cream served with chocolate sauce, this actually makes your hormones happy, delicious. And ASEEDAT BOBAR is a unique dish to try from the menu.

Final Verdict – Emirati cuisine is very versatile and has beautiful flavours in it and to find better reflection of this cuisine i surely recommend Osha gourmet. The ambiance is beautiful so the service is very prompt. Masdar city is surely a place to visit. take advantage of good weather.
