Asha Bhosle needs no introduction, she is veteran singer and to represent her passion of food, Asha’s restaurant could be the best way possible. Asha’s is a very well known name in terms of restaurants as it is one of a very old restaurants in Dubai serving since more then a decade and adding spice to life, my experience was memorable.

When you enter the restaurant you can see many pictures from old to recent which represents Asha Bhosle’s life in detail. The decor is very contemporary and unique in terms of vibrant colors and it is also so much inspired by Indian style. Service is prompt and menu has some of her personal recipes included.

We started with very unique drink ROSE GEM ICED TEA in one sip you might find that strong taste of rose but after some time when the ice is melted a bit, you will enjoy this soothing drink. In food we started with BHATTI KA CHAAP soft, perfectly marinated and succulent chicken pieces, char coaled, delectable and yummy.

The other delicious starter was KOFTA KHAM KHATAI unique combination of bottle gourd and potato, shaped in patty and filled with dry fruit and tamarind chutney. JHEENGA JALPARI deep fried prawns coated with cheese and prawns chunks along with bread crumbs and served with sun dried tomato chutney, very delicious.

In mains we tried MUSCAT GOSHT one of Asha tai’s personal favorite recipes, which is adopted from one of Dhaba in Oman, rich gravy along with succulent meat. DHANIYA MURG was simple yet flavorful dish for my taste pallet, delicious. And also HARE BAIGAN KA BHARTA which is again her personal favorite recipes, yummy.

Moving ahead DAAL MAKHANI served to us and it tasted just perfect, creamy and full of flavors, i finished the whole bowl. My favorite dish during lunch was CHAMANDI PRAWN BIRYANI prawns cooked in a coconut cilantro pesto with lemon juice & coconut milk. Finished on dum with ghee rice, a must have dish.

After such heavy dishes dessert part was very simple. GULAB JAMUN which is almost every Indians favorite dessert and was served with think layer of rabri in the bowl, fresh and tasty. GAJAR KA HALWA was simple and delicious and KULFI WITH FALOODA, everything served in small portion in one platter.

Final Verdict – I genuinely think that Asha’s is perfect reflection of Indian food where they have given a little fusion to some of the dishes and that worked out really very well. The ambiance itself is great way to know Asha Bhosle’s life in detail. Over all i am very impressed in my recent visit, and i recommend this place too.
