Clinton Street Baking Company – Al Safa, Dubai

Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman, opened Clinton Street Baking Company in New York City soon the local and international recognition stumbled in. New York Magazine voted Neil’s blueberry pancakes best in the city (twice!). Fast forward to today, the culinary splendor has made its way across the Atlantic to our very own city, Dubai.

I tried the Al safa branch and the ambiance is very cool and beautiful. The doodle wall and some funky looking sofas are just perfect to relax and unwind. The menu selections are quite wide with all day breakfast, shakes and more. The service is very prompt and staff is very helpful.

We started with CARAMEL SHAKE it was creamy, thick and topped with delicious whipped cream. To accompany it we ordered MINI CRAB CAKES it tasted good with house made tartar sauce. KALE & QUINOA SALAD is just perfect treat for health conscious people. Very delicious.

Moving ahead in mains we ordered BLACKENED SEABASS creole spiced seabass, braided kale and fried okra. I felt fried okra was not really needed in the plate but seabass was just divine in taste. Also FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLES with honey tobacco sauce is must try when here.

Even after we were full the staff asked us to try the desserts and served the STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING the taste was so good and it was going great with vanilla icecream. Also the BAKED CHEESE CAKE was good in taste but I think it was way too hard cut, it could have been better.

Final Verdict – The ambiance of the restaurant is very funky and relaxing. Along with that all day breakfast is the plus point. Over experience was very nice, must visit.
