The melting pot has bought a very unique fondue style dining, in the town, where you dip, cook your food on table.The hot plates are installed in each and every table with delicious food choices in the menu. Loved the concept and it made me intrigued to visit here. My experience here surely was unique and nice.
Melting pot is located in Box park and is very spacious. The restaurant is very spacious and green ambiance will surely steal your heart. Every table has a heating plate for the fondue pot to keep hot. The tables are very spacious with comfortable chairs. Menu looks very interesting, service here is quick and prompt.
We started with cheese fondue, they have lot of variety in the menu. We chose SPINACH & ARTICHOKE FONDUE it is mix of fontina & butterkase cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts & garlic, off course it is kept on the heating plate and cheese is always melted i enjoyed it most with veggies, bread, apple and potato.
The other cheese fondue was FIESTA FONDUE this is one of their signature fondue with mix of cheddar cheese blend with non alcoholic beer, salsa and jalapenos. It is slightly spicy mix but really very delicious. I loved the sides to dip which is breads, mix veggies, potato and apple, perfect for cheese lovers.
We also tried salads STRAWBERRY AND ALMOND SALAD was my favorite with raspberry vinaigrette, the almond was honey roasted and mix of feta gave it an amazing freshness. The other one was THE MELTING POT HOUSE SALAD greens mixed with cheddar cheese and ranch dressing, the flavours are amazing.
Moving ahead as the concept speaks your main course will be made in your own table. You have two options to go for, hot oil and broth in which they add non alcoholic wine and ginger with black pepper. Cook the entree like chicken, prawn, lobster, veggies, ravioli and many more, sounds interesting, right.
In desserts chocolate fondue also has variety in the menu we chose YIN YANG FONDUE witch is mix of white chocolate and milk chocolate with fruits many cake dips. Also CARAMEL NUT amazing mix of chocolate, caramel and candied pecan nuts, every bite is sinful and it tasted great with banana and brownie.
Final Verdict – Loved the concept of making your own food on the table. Cook, fry and indulge in melting pots on your tables. Every fondue has amazing variety in the menu. I though as prepared food menu should be introduced as well for the people who are in hurry. But it is a great experience to try.
