Fuego – Downtown, Dubai

Souk Al Bahar is hub of many popular restaurants and Fuego is one of them. The name Fuego is inspired by ‘fire’ or ‘flame’ that is induced in Mexican food through both, flavours and sight. The food has lot of involvement of chilies and authentic flavours but in a very contemporary way. My experience was really nice here

Fuego offers a refined and relaxed ambiance, created by the reliance of natural elements such as wood and stone mixed in with traditional Mexican patterns and warm terracotta colours. Dark shades are over involved in the ambiance, the bar, non smoking section is separate. Service is prompt and staff is very polite.

When in Mexican restaurant how could i miss to try the Margarita and i started with NACHO LIBRE mix of watermelon Tequila, watermelon, habanero, Mure, and citrus, this is my favorite. PEPE EL TORO mix of mango Chili Tequila, mango, citrus, the hint of chili with mango flavour is amazing, it was just superb

We started with GUACAMOLE ON THE SPOT freshly made guacamole right in front of you with fresh ingredients and served with crispy nachos, delectable and fresh. Next we tried PRAWN TACOS with breaded prawns, chipotle coconut cream, sweet red onion, orange very unique flavours and everything burst in mouth.

The accompaniments section has some interesting options and we tried SMOKED BUFFALO WINGS it was served with white sauce, it was way too oily but damn delicious. BABY CORN MEXICAN STYLE my favorite and must have, charred baby corn with lemon juice and cotija cheese, very delectable and flavourful.

In mains PARRILLADA DE POLLO is is sharing enchiladas with chicken, capsicum, tortilla, pinto beans and Mexican rice, make it as per you want, delectable. SEAFOOD ENCHILADAS with clams, octopus, prawns, mussels, rolled and topped with pasilla sauce with saute vegetables, i didn’t enjoy this dish much.

The best part of any meal is dessert and we tried here is CHOCOLATE FANTASY chocolate sphere filled with brownie and chocolate soil with guava ice cream and spicy chocolate sauce. The other one is TRES LECHES CAKE served with coconut ice cream and FUEGO CHURROS each dessert tasted amazing and delectable.

Final Verdict – To my surprise they also have pure vegetarian menu which is helpful for the vegetarians. Fuego invites all its guests to a bold taste of Mexico where people will enjoy authentic flavours from Mexico, prepared in a contemporary set-up. Service, taste and location everything is perfect, recommended.
