Baker and spice is an award winning food shop and restaurant and it is located in several places in Dubai. Baker & spice Dubai is center for artisan food excellence. The principle behind the food they serve is that it is local, organic, fresh and homemade. They claim to make everything from scratch and fresh.

The outlet is a shop where they sell ready made bakery bites and ready made food and apart from this it is also a restaurant. Wooden tables give the interiors very contemporary look all together. I liked the variety available in the counter and the service is very prompt and the staff is polite, loved the outlook.

They serve special meat free menu on Monday and i tried it and started with MAMMA STYLE FAT CHIPS it is kind of fried potato wedges with chili roasted peanuts, & signature green tahini, tasted really very nice. Then ONION BHAJJI it is very own Indian style bhajji served with mint and coriander chutney.

In mains they have some good variety to try and we started with SAFFRON RISOTTO it is finished with butter and parmesan cheese, it was nice and quantity is good. Also from the menu we tried MEXICAN BLACK BEAN CHILI served with skillet corn bread, i could not enjoy it much, but rest everything i liked.

Final Verdict – The ingredients they use is from local UAE market and the seasons dictate and they gladly follow to create fabulous home cooked soul food that remains true to the ethos which is local, organic, fresh and home made. Did’t try the other bakery products but for sure everything looked delectable.
