One more name is added in the list of Italian restaurants i have tried in the town. I am always more excited about the taste and flavors in the cuisine and the moment i stepped in to Cucina, i felt i am at an authentic Italian home. Even the food is made with traditional and authentic way with home made style and ingredients.
Cucina is a cozy trattoria style old Italian kitchen complete with rustic exposed brick, open kitchen and the heady aroma of tomatoes, olive oil and oregano. If you are sitting upstairs food comes up in a very interesting trolley, its a visual treat, not only that but the kitchen is open and you can see how the chefs are busy making food.
We started with SPINACH AND CHEESE RAVIOLI delicious spinach and cheese stuffed in ravioli and cooked to the perfection, quantity is really very nice. Apart from this we tried INSALATA CAPRESE it is from the antipaste section with buffalo mozzarella, 5 types of tomato, fresh basil and black olive crouton, delicious and yummy.
Moving ahead we also tried LINGUINE ALLO SCOGLIO mix of different seafood like prawns, lobster linguine with tomato sauce and parsley oil, the flavors are delicious. One of their favorites pizza CUSINA with tomato, oregano, basil, mozzarella, mushroom and black olives, it tasted amazing, the flavors were authentic and exquisite.
Now it was time to move towards desserts , when in Italian restaurant TIRAMISU is must, i simply loved the presentation as it was served in a cup with some berries along. PANACOTTA which is served with mixed berry it was creamy, but the compote gave more tangy ness, it could have been more better but it was not bad.
Final Verdict – I am very impressed with the ambiance, very cozy and beautiful. The wood-fired pizza oven bakes crispy thin-crust pies while the chefs serve up a delicious variety of traditional Italian antipasti and salads, accompanied by home-made pastas, pizzas and risottos. Italian food lovers, you should not miss this place.
