Nando’s is already a known name in the town, and they are famous for the flame grilled peri peri chicken they serve. The Nando’s flame landed in the UAE way back in 2002 and since then more then 14 restaurant has started. The flavors are Afro – Portuguese inspired which make you fall in love with it.
I was invited to the launch of this new outlet in the festival city and the event was not only the launch but also unveiling a spectacular piece of artwork by South African artist Kilmany-Jo, to mark to the launch of our brand new restaurant at Dubai Festival City. The ambiance always has African theme pictures.
We started with HUMMUS WITH PERI PERI DRIZZLE AND PITA peri peri sauce worked like magic on hummus, pita was cut into pieces and was soft, very delicious and filling. Along with it CHICKEN LIVER AND PORTUGUESE ROLL where chicken liver was dipped in yellow sauce and served with bread or rolls.
Moving ahead i also tried VEGETABLE BURGER it was mini burger filled with tomato, lettuce and veg patty, the flavors were nice and every thing together tasted really very nice. SPICY RICE with char grilled veggies and chicken tasted great with the hot sauce, every flavor was exquisite and delicious.
Final Verdict – Besides the legendary chicken, the one thing you’ll always find at Nando’s is a warm welcome that’ll make you feel right at home. Each one of it’s restaurants has its own special design, but they all have earthy textures and colors that reminds of sunny Afro-Portuguese roots, must try.
