Now a days people going gaga over healthy, vegan and gluten free food, and Govinda is surely offering some Indian options in these categories. Govinda is a very known vegetarian restaurant and now they have launched their vegan and gluten free menu and i tried some of their delicacies from the menu.

Govinda is located in Al karama and Umm suqeim and both of these outlets are known for consistency in taste and vegetarian food. The Umm suqeim outlet is very peaceful and the space is used beautifully. The chant of spiritual songs creates very positive aura around. The service is prompt and staff is polite

We started with from vegan menu ALOO METHI TIKKI crispy, fresh and delectable patties served with vegan green chutney. from the gluten free menu we tried PANEER ACHARI the spices were delicious and char coaled. From vegan menu BROCCOLI TIKKI was served with grilled broccoli on top, yummy and delicious.

Now for the mains we tried DAAL MAKHANI from the gluten free menu. black lentils cooked with cream and it was done with out onion and garlic but tasted really good. Also PALAK KOFTA tastedd really very delicious from the vegan menu. To accompany it ALOO & GOBHI PARATHA from vegan menu was delicious

They have limited desserts in the gluten free and vegan menu but i tried TIRAMISU from the regular menu. Oh my god, this totally stole the show, i am not big fan of tiramisu but here they made it beautifully with layers of cream and sponge cake, every bite was heavy and full of delectable flavors, must have when here

Final Verdict – Yes, being healthy is inn and Govinda’s is a perfect place to find some delicious Indian options. It can be a task when you are looking for the place dedicated for special dietary requirements. I am really very impressed with the variety they serve and still managed to intact the flavors, must go.
