A contemporary, small and stylish bistro which serves mughlai cuisine. I was intrigued to try this place out when i heard lots of good reviews from other foodie friends. Also by name you can actually guess that Royal Mughal serves Mughlai, Indian cuisine. But to my surprise the food is not heavy on spices, yet delicious.

As i mentioned it is a contemporary and very stylish bistro with very bright and warm colors used around. I loved brick walls on one side and magnificent wall arts on another side. The over all look is very fresh and has Indian touch to it. Service is prompt and staff is polite. the menu is very interesting as well.

We started with MANGO LASSI which they served in a cute mason jar was very nice and refreshing. The others on table tried FRESH LIME SODA which was again served in mason jar and tasted good too. Some ordered MASALA KARAK CHAI which surely is a great option for evenings along with small, light bites.

In food we ordered HARA BHARA KEBAB for vegetarians, it was delicious and not so heavy and they serve it with green chutney. Also we tried TANDOORI CHICKEN chicken pieces marinated and char coaled till done well. And also KHEEMA PAV, i am not a big fan of kheema pav but this one tasted really very nice.

Moving ahead we tried CHOLE BAHTURA, this one is the best i had in the town. Chole was perfectly spiced and bhatura was less oily, must have. BUTTER CHICKEN BUN and ALOO TIKKI BURGER tasted so good, loved them both. The other dish was BOMBAY SANDWICH simple yet full of many flavors, a really good dish to give a try.

In desserts we ordered PHIRNI wow, it tasted so good and delicious. Creamy, thick and delectable, must have. DARK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE is a perfect smooth textured mousse wonderful treat for chocolate lovers. Very traditional and Indian desserts GULAB JAMUN were actually heavy but very delectable treat.

Final Verdict – Even this bistro serves Indian food, you will not find too much spices in food. It is more on light side but the authentic flavors are intact. We also tried GOSHT ROGAN JOSH which is one of there delicacy and that also we enjoyed a lot. Light yet delicious food and the ambiance is bang on, worth it.
