Fume – Fume means smoke in french. This place made me intrigue after it was trending on Instagram and other social platform. They are talk in the town mostly for the desserts, milkshakes and breakfast. I couldn’t try the breakfast but went there to try business lunch menu with lots of expectation, but i had some misses and hits.

The ambiance is urban chic with dash of some vintage ouch to it. Even though they don’t have out door seating but you still can enjoy the beautiful marina view. I loved wooden touch everywhere. Every corner is beautiful and photograph worthy. Menu is very interesting and looked really great with so many options.

We started with some refreshing mock tails and i stick to classic and that is VIRGIN MOJITO which tasted really good. Also in starters FRIED CALAMARI WITH THAI CHILI SAUCE which was simply made and crispy. From salad CRISPY DUCK WATERMELON & CASHEW SALAD the dressing was hoisin sauce, was good.

They have small dishes section CHILI GARLIC SHRIMP was our selection and that actually didn’t impress me much. There was no taste at all.HOT SMOKED NORWEGIAN SALMON WITH TERIYAKI SAUCE was all right in taste. SMASHED POTATO, CREME FRAICHE, CAPRES was really nicely made, this was most favorite of all.

We ordered FUNKY CHEESECAKE MONSTER SHAKE was a perfect thing to have. Thick milk shake filled in the jar topped with creamy and rich strawberry cheesecake with chocolate and biscuit, must have. BANOFFEE PARFAIT comes in a small jar and has cream and peanut butter layered with banana coins, was not bad.

The other dessert we tried was DATE AND BANANA PUDDING WITH WITH CUSTARD VANILLA ICE CREAM, loved it. Date and banana pudding loaf along with ice cream scoop and then warm custard syrup on the side. Just pour warm vanilla custard on pudding and then enjoy with ice cream, perfect is the word.

Final Verdict – After i heard a lot about this place and after seeing such lovely pictures on social media i was very impressed with this place. Food didn’t impress me much but the desserts and ambiance. Service has room for improvement but still i will not mind to go back for desserts and yes the beautiful view of Marina.
