Divan offers luxurious range of hand made chocolates and it’s roots are from Istanbul and serving since 1956. Long back while shopping in Dubai mall, i saw chocolate fountain wall as it looked very attractive. Not only that but the chocolate fondue section looks really tempting. I must say this place is must visit for chocolate lovers.

The ambiance is very subtle and beautiful. The outlet area is quite spacious with one side displays of delicious cookies, candies and macaroons. You get to see a small coffee station where they brew fresh Turkish coffee and tea. Service is prompt and staff is very friendly and they have great knowledge of the brand and dishes.

Whenever you are in such place where you will be over loaded with sweet, it is always recommended to order some strong coffee to balance the sweetness. I ordered TURKISH COFFEE medium sweet. I loved the bitterness and strong flavor of coffee. TURKISH TEA can be a good option too, perfectly made and served.

I started my sweet ride with some of their macaroons ORANGE MACAROONS and CHOCOLATE MACAROONS off course the sweet dose is very high. Some ASSORTED COOKIES were on my table. Both sweet and savory cookies and light and delicious and they come all the way from Istanbul, nothing is prepared here.

They also make ROCOCO CAKE which is actually ice cream cake. Another cake was PISTACHIO CHOCOLATE CAKE which tasted really good, it was gooey and perfectly sweet. The another i tried was CHOCOLATE CHEESE CAKE, i liked it the most as the sourness of the cheesecake balanced the sweet over dose here.

CHOCOLATE FONDUE is a must try here, they serve assorted fruits with it. I get to try strawberry dipped in milk chocolate, sourness of strawberry with sweet chocolate is my favorite combination. CHOCOLATE SHOT is a heavy, thick chocolate sauce along with orange, didn’t impress me much, but you can try for experience.

Final Verdict – When here TURKISH DELIGHT is a must have, they have many flavors in it also Turkish coffee has almost seven flavors. Divan is a place from where you can choose gift packs for your loved ones, some traditional boxes are really cute to gift some one. The macaroons are the best sellers and must have here.
