Being an Indian i have a special soft corner in my heart for Indian cuisine. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, this name don’t need any introduction and that is why i am always intrigued to visit this restaurant. This is their third outlet in Dubai and the opening was grand, so i visited with lots of excitement here
The ambiance is very simple but contemporary with beautiful wall paintings hanging around where the reflection of India is visible. Service is prompt and staff is very polite and courteous. Menus is beautifully made with delicious pictures along with dish names. we had the best from the menu
We started with refreshing drink called PERU PYALA this is my all time favorite guava based mock tail which brings old childhood memories back, another mock tail was TARBOOZA which was damn refreshing with black salt and mint. We also had TOMATO BASIL SOUP light and delectable
I loved the most was SANTARI MURG CHAAT which is a unique combination all together and tasted great too. Along with it ALOO NAZAKAT which is sweet dry fruit mixed stuffing boiled potato. Non veg starters had TANDOORI BASIL PRAWNS and TANDOORI FISH both were succulent and delectable
Main course was a treat as we settled with CHICKEN TIKKA BIRYANI it was perfectly made with perfectly marinated succulent pieces of chicken. I cant miss one of their signature dish LALLA MUSSA DAL its kind of heavy dal cooked over night in their signature style. It simply tastes divine and superb
By the time of dessert we were so full we ordered one of my favorite GULAB E GULKAND it is gulkand filled hot gulab jamun, yummy and mouthwatering. The other dessert was CHOCOLATE BROWNIE hot pan with brownie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and topped with hot chocolate sauce, simply divine.
Final Verdict – Chef Sanjeev Kapoor kept best of his recipes in the menu, simple ambiance with best of authentic Indian food served here. Service is really good and service staff take good care of you table. Location is perfect and easily accessible. I recommend Yellow Chili for authentic Indian food.
