Japanese cuisine has many scrumptious and delectable flavors. It has mix of rice, noodle, tempura, sashimi, tofu and many more to tingle your taste buds. I was overwhelmed in my recent visit to Sumo Bento and Sushi.  In Dubai they have almost seven outlets where you can enjoy and try authentic Japanese flavors.

Ambiance of this place is very calm, simple and sophisticated.  Soft green color is used wisely to enhance the look of it. This outlet is very spacious. We were greeted by the service staff when entered, service is very prompt. Menu surprisingly is very extensive and has so many options to go for, from every section.

We started with MISO SOUP which was very light but flavorful in taste, nutritious and great to inflate hunger. We could not miss EDAMAME fresh and salted, so good. ROCKY MOUNTAIN was an interesting mix of salmon, avocado and spicy mayo, very delectable. ROCK N ROLL SHRIMP is something everyone should try.

After all this it was time for some authentic sushi rolls. We started with SAMURAI which was shrimp tempura, crab stick topped with salmon, avocado, cream cheese and mayo, delectable. Another was SWEET POTATO CRUNCH prawn, crab stick, avocado drizzle with mayo teriyaki sauce topped with sweet potato crunch, yummy.

This continued with EMPEROR’S NEW ROLL prawn tempura, avocado, cucumber, crab stick  drizzled with sweet chili sauce, this was one of my favorite. we also tried SAKE SASHIMI which was fresh slices of salmon, oh so fresh and so delectable. Every sushi roll was burst of flavors in mouth, every thing is must try.

To accompany this delicious food we also had some of the staff recommended drinks from the menu. Very interesting and refreshing drink GINGER MOJITO mix of mint and plenty of ginger, i found it perfect for summers. Do not miss their MACHA GREEN TEA green tea milkshake topped with light whipped cream, very filling.

After all this i could not afford to miss desserts and tried MOCHI ICE CREAM it was sticky rice cake formed around ice cream. This dessert was so light and mouthwatering. The another dessert was CHOCO BOMB vanilla ice cream ball was covered with hard chocolate shell and you need to break that cover with molten hot chocolate, delectable.

Final Verdict – My experience with Sumo Bento & Sushi was full of flavors and surprises. Every single dish i tried here was really delicious. The rates in the menu is also very moderate. Desserts has many choices and every thing is great in taste. Service is prompt and staff is polite and well mannered, this place is highly recommended.
