This recipe is Indian street style and full of many different flavors and many spices. I love black chickpeas salad (chaat), as it is healthy and full of many flavors like tangy and spicy.
This is perfect afternoon snack with some plain yogurt or butter milk. I like to eat it plain just the way it is, as it has so many flavors. Lets see how it is made
Serving – 2 Portions
Black Chickpeas – 1 Cup
Tomato – 1 Medium (Chopped)
Onion – 1 Medium (Chopped)
Cucumber – 1 Medium (Chopped)
Fresh Coriander – 1 Handful (Chopped)
Mint – Few Leaves (Chopped)
Lemon Juice – 2 Tablespoons
Boiled Potato – 1 Medium (Chopped)
Chaat Masala – Half Tablespoon
Ginger – Half Tablespoon (Grated)
Pomegranate Seeds – Some (for garnish)
Salt – To Taste
Soak black chickpeas overnight, boil till soft, transfer in a bowl, add chopped tomato, onion, cucumber, fresh coriander, mint, boiled potato and ginger, mix well.
Now add lemon juice, chaat masala, salt, mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with pomegranate seeds and mint leaves, serve.
