I have tried Lebanese cuisine before but my recent experience at Ayam Eleze located in The Mall at Jumeirah road was truly a big feast. Lebanese cuisine consist of many flavours and they have some very known dishes like Hummus, kebbah. I was very excited to visit here as I love all these mixed flavors, so my experience was memorable

Interiors is the highlight of this place, the moment you enter the restaurant you go back to 60’s era and blend into it, lovely wall paintings from that ear as well as other stuff is kept from that time. They have spacious ambiance with stretch entrée, where you can have outside view. Service is prompt and menu is limited and interesting

We started with a very refreshing drink LEMONADE BATROUNIYE which consist fresh lime, sugar and ice. To start we ordered from cold mezze HUMMUS AYAM ELEZZ, very delicious, also LEBANESE MHAMMARA made with chilli paste and capsicum and SHANKLISH, in salad ZAATAR AND BALADI CHEESE was simple and delicious.

From hot mezze we ordered BATATA HARRA, very crispy potato cubes with minimal spices. Then MIXED PASTRIES was good mix of KIBBEH, SAMBOOSA, CHEESE ROLLS and SPINACH, i liked the cheese roll most. From the grill we had MIXED GRILL, which I didn’t enjoy much, but for prople who eat beef it is perfect to go for

My favourite part is dessert we had almost everything from this section MAUHALABIEH had perfect balance of sweetness, loved it. RICE PUDDING also had perfect amount of sweetness. KNEFE which is KUNAFA was perfectly warm and cheesy. MUGHLI was very strong for my taste buds, RAHA BIL ASHTA and HALAWET ELJIBEN were very sweet

Final Verdict – I am very impressed with ambiance and food at Ayam Eleez, the cold mezze was served with fresh PITA BREADS, also they serve fresh juices in the fruit shape glasses. The interior will surely take you in 60’s era, this is a place where you can spend lovely long time with your friends and family. Highly recommend this place for Lebanese cuisine.
