Uchkuduk – Barsha 1, Dubai

Uzbekistan cuisine is something very new to me. I knew i will find some mix flavors of Turkish and Arabian cuisine. I found very different names and preparation when I saw the menu, and I was exited enough to visit to try it, Finally i tried the Uzbekistan cuisine.

The ambiance is the highlight of this place, very traditional and very authentic. Beautiful wall décor along with those traditional and colorful embroidered cushions were enhancing the look already. Seating is very comfortable and cozy. They have shamiyana type seating for family and groups. Menu is beautifully designed and has description below. Service is prompt and staff is polite and fast

Since we went in a group of 5 many of them were trying dishes of their choice, so I will mention dishes I tried and I liked the most, since the menu has description below every dish, makes easy for you to choose

ACHIK CHUCHUK SALAD WITH NAAN they serve fresh hot naan along with this salad. When I first saw the salad it was nothing but thinly sliced tomato and onion presented beautifully. But when you eat it along with hot, soft and fresh naan, you will simply love it. It’s simple but filling as well as delicious

CHICKEN SAMOSA I like one fact that the samosas were not fried but baked. The chicken filling was generous and tasty. The spices they use are not too much but still the flavors are intact in the dishes. They served tomato chutney along with the samosa and I simply loved it, pairing was delicious

CHICKEN TABAKA grilled chicken in some of house spices along with big portion of French fries. The chicken was crispy and golden colored. I feel that the chicken should have some chutney along but we asked for the tomato chutney. I liked the presentation and the plate full of food, quantity is really good

HONEY CAKE what do you want after a heavy meal a light dessert which doesn’t fill you up more but still gives you the feeling of dessert. We ordered many other desserts but this was the star of the show. Thin layers of cake each filled with light cream and taste heavenly; I made space for this somehow

Final Verdict – Not only these dishes but we tried berry juice and other delicacies. The tea in the end gives you lightness, so don’t miss that. Most of the dishes are made of beef so make sure you ask the server before placing order if you don’t eat.
