Turkish cuisine is very much consisting of Mediterranean, Arabic and similar flavors and that is what makes it so familiar and off course delicious to try out. Dokuz serves Turkish cuisine and that made me as excited as I never tried any restaurant before serving specific Turkish food.
The ambiance is the highlight of this place, open air and beautiful view of the city along with lovely local music played by few artists live, this sort of cheers you up. This place I would like to visit after work just to relax myself along with some nice cocktails or delicious food. Service is really prompt and the staff is polite and very helpful. Menu is designed beautifully and has many great options for you
Hence is was a meetup we had set menu for starters and main course, so we saw chefs giving us lesson for cooking and I was just amazed to see how delicious can be simple recipe, I also would like to mention the cocktails, I tried PINA COLADA which was great in taste and perfect just the way it should be, also ISTANBUL SPECIAL one was delicious too, don’t miss cocktails here, so here is my take on food
MERCIMEK KOFTE this was simply so new for me to have. Presentation itself was very beautiful and appealing so the detailed preparation of this dish says its red lentil and fine burgul with herbs, what a great taste all of this came along. It was simple but still I could taste many other spices and a different tang of taste for my pellet. I think if a person doesn’t like lentils will also love this different preparation.
KUMPIR WITH SUCUK this was actually backed potatoes stuffed with cheese types of cheese are sucuk and kashkaval cheese, again the presentation was just beautiful and the dish was delicious though. The potatoes were backed with skin, skin was thin and crispy and that was giving a different taste to the dish altogether. I loved the filling oh my …. ADANA KEBAB this was the star of the show, as I mentioned already that they gave us a cooking lesson to prepare the adana kebab they used Lamb leg and lamb ribs meat mixture with lamb tail fat along with just salt and Turkish chili, I didn’t expect it to be so delicious, it was served with rice which was like broken wheat cooked in tomato, beautifully presented and the taste was just mind blowing, must have
Final verdict – Fairmont hotel is already a very famous and known hotel and dokuz is a place you can enjoy the most during pleasant winter time. The food they make is authentic, simple and delicious, must visit if you want that beautiful view, dinner next to pool, good food and music.
